Singita Sabi Sand is two lodges, Boulders and Ebony, and the private Castleton villa on the Sand River in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, where leopard sightings are closer to routine than anywhere else in Africa. Stays are all-inclusive, with private vehicles and guides. QL House books it as a preferred partner.
The Sabi Sand shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park, so the Big Five move freely, but the reserve limits vehicles per sighting and the guiding standard at Singita is the reference point for the industry. Ebony Lodge is the original 1993 house, colonial and open to the river; Boulders is built into the granite with a cooler, more contemporary line.
Each suite has its own plunge pool and a deck above the riverbed, and the ratio of staff to guests means a private vehicle and tracker are standard rather than an upgrade. Meals follow the game drives, with the wine cellar drawing on Singita's own South African programme, and the lodges run conservation and community work that guests can see first-hand.
