    Bulgari Resort Dubai takes its own island, Jumeira Bay, linked to the city by a short bridge: a hundred-odd rooms and villas, a private beach, a marina and the Bulgari Yacht Club. It is the quietest address on the Dubai coast and the one QL House books most for clients who want the city without the crowds, at the published rate with benefits added.

    Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel designed the resort as a Mediterranean village in coral stone and teak, with villas that open onto private pools and the beach, and a low-rise scale that feels nothing like the towers across the water. The Bulgari Spa has a 25-metre indoor pool and a hammam; the private beach faces the open Gulf rather than the lagoon.

    Il Ristorante Niko Romito holds the resort's dining reputation, with La Spiaggia on the sand for lunch and the Yacht Club for the long evenings. The marina takes yachts of up to forty metres, which matters in a city where arrival by water is the better entrance.

    QL House uses the resort as the base for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, ninety minutes down the coast, and for the Dubai winter season of art fairs, polo and racing.
