The 2027 luxury events calendar, month by month: which events are worth building a travel year around, when each one takes place, where to stay and — critically — when to book.
January to March 2027: the Australian Open in Melbourne, the St. Moritz winter season and snow polo, Art Basel Hong Kong, and the alpine festive tail that closes the winter. Alpine chalets and Melbourne suites are the tightest inventory of the quarter.
April to June 2027: the Formula 1 European season opens, the Monaco Grand Prix takes over the principality in late May, the Cannes Film Festival runs the Croisette, Roland-Garros and the Venice Biennale follow, and Royal Ascot and Wimbledon close the first half of the sporting and social season.
July to September 2027: the British Grand Prix, Tour de France, Salzburg Festival, the Edinburgh festivals, the Venice Film Festival, the US Open in New York and the Monaco Yacht Show — the densest stretch of the year for hotel demand in Europe.
October to December 2027: Frieze London, Art Basel Paris, Oktoberfest, the Abu Dhabi and Las Vegas Grands Prix, Art Basel Miami Beach, and the alpine and Caribbean festive weeks that sell out first.
Booking windows: alpine festive weeks and Monaco Grand Prix hotels move 12–18 months ahead; Wimbledon debentures and Cannes Croisette suites 9–12 months; art fairs and fashion weeks 6–9 months; most city stays 3–6 months. Missing a window rarely means missing the event — it means paying more for a worse room.
